TERMS OF THE REUSABLE BAG SERVICE

 

This document outlines the terms and conditions of the reusable bag service ("Terms"). It is a legal document that clearly defines the rights and obligations related to using this service – i.e., the delivery of orders from the www.rohlik.cz e-shop in reusable bags.

Who are we and where to find us

The www.rohlik.cz e-shop is available via the website www.rohlik.cz or the mobile app Rohlik.cz ("Rohlik.cz e-shop").

The e-shop is operated by VELKÁ PECKA s.r.o., ID: 030 24 130, with registered office at Karolinská 654/2, Karlín, 186 00 Prague 8, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague under file no. 226550 ("Rohlik.cz").

These Terms are effective as of 24. 4. 2025.

  1. REUSABLE BAG SERVICE

Paper or reusable? The choice is yours.

By default, goods are delivered in disposable paper bags, which can be returned to the courier for recycling. For a more sustainable choice, opt for reusable bags – sturdy, reusable bags made from recycled PET bottles.

You shop more sustainably, without unnecessary packaging or complicated logistics. Just select reusable bags during checkout – we’ll handle the rest.

  1. ACTIVATING THE SERVICE

How to activate

Simply select "reusable bags" in the "Packaging" section when completing your order. By doing this, you agree to these Terms.

Xtra Members

  • The reusable bag service is automatically active for Xtra members with no deposit required.
  • Any previously paid deposit will be refunded as store credits.
  • New Xtra members who never paid a deposit can start using the service immediately and for free.

Non-Xtra Members

If you are not an Xtra member, you can use the reusable bag service by paying a one-time refundable deposit of CZK 250 ("Deposit"), which will be added to your first order that includes delivery in reusable bags.

How does it all work?

In both cases, the bags remain the property of Rohlik.cz. Your responsibility is to return the bags gradually to the courier with future orders, so we can clean, inspect, and reuse them. This saves waste, time, and helps protect the environment.

How many bags can you have?

To keep the system sustainable for everyone, we’ve introduced limits on the maximum number of bags you can currently “hold” (i.e., not yet returned):

  • Xtra members: max. 50 bags
  • Non-Xtra members: max. 20 bags

If you exceed your limit, your order may be delivered in paper bags instead – until you return some of the bags. You can always check the current number of bags in your account or the mobile app.

Bags can only be returned by handing them to the courier when receiving a new order.

Examples:

Example 1 – Customer with Xtra membership:

A customer with an active Xtra membership receives 28 reusable bags with their first order. With the second order, they get another 20 bags, making a total of 48 bags currently held.

If they return at least one bag during the second delivery (holding 47 in total), they stay within the limit, and the next order will again be delivered in reusable bags.

However, if they don’t return any bags and end up holding more than 50, the system will recognize that the limit has been reached – and future orders may be delivered in paper bags. The customer can resume using reusable bags after returning some.

Example 2 – Customer without Xtra membership:

Non-extra member first orders goods in reusable bags and receives 15 bags. In the next order, they get another 5 – reaching the 20-bag maximum.

If they don’t return any bags with the following order, the next one may be delivered in paper bags.

Once they return at least one reusable bag in any future order, the goods will again be delivered in reusable bags – until the limit is exceeded again.

  1. CANCELLING THE REUSABLE BAG SERVICE

You may cancel the reusable bag service at any time – without giving a reason and without any additional conditions. If you are a consumer, you also have the legal right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion.

Cancellation for Xtra Members

If you cancel your Xtra membership or stop using the service, you may keep the reusable bags and continue to use them. However, if you remain inactive for more than 6 months, Rohlik.cz reserves the right to request the bags back.

Want to use the service again? Simply reactivate it when placing your next order by selecting the “reusable bags” option.

Cancellation for Non-Xtra members

If you activated the service by paying a refundable deposit and decide to cancel, you are entitled to a refund – provided that you return all reusable bags supplied by Rohlik.cz.

  • Cancellations and refund requests must be made exclusively by phone at Rohlik.cz’s customer line: 800 730 740
  • The deposit will be refunded within 14 days by one of the following methods:
    • Crediting your Rohlik.cz customer account (credits never expire and can be used for future purchases), or
    • A bank transfer to the account used for the original payment – if explicitly requested.

After cancellation, the service can be reactivated at any time – just choose the “reusable bags” option again during checkout. In this case, a new deposit will be required.

  1. FINAL PROVISIONS

Rohlik.cz is not liable for any damage or non-material harm in case reusable bags are temporarily unavailable – for example, due to supply shortages, delivery disruptions, or other exceptional circumstances. In such cases, Rohlik.cz reserves the right to deliver goods temporarily in paper bags.

We will do our utmost to restore the reusable bag service as soon as possible. However, if it becomes impossible to provide reusable bag delivery for more than 90 days due to capacity or technical reasons, your deposit will be refunded – provided all bags are returned.

Legal relations arising under these Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic and Rohlik.cz’s General Terms and Conditions. The procedure for resolving disputes, including out-of-court settlements, is outlined in Article 10 of the General Terms.

Rohlik.cz reserves the right to reasonably amend or supplement these Terms at any time. You will be notified in advance – by email or another suitable method – to give you an opportunity to review the new version. If you disagree with the changes, you have the right to cancel the service and request a deposit refund – again, provided all bags are returned.
