Ingredients
- 280 g butter
- 480 g powdered sugar
- 200 g finely grated nuts
- 12 pcs eggs (6 yolks and 6 whites)
- 4 g vanilla sugar
- 140 g all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp Czech rum
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 160 °C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2Cream butter with sugar until foamy. Stir in flour and finely grated nuts. Whisk egg whites into stiff peaks and carefully fold them into the batter in portions.
- 3Spread the batter onto the baking sheet lined with parchment paper, use a pastry scraper to spread it to the edges of the sheet and smooth the surface. Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 30–35 minutes.
- 4Remove the baking sheet from the oven and pour the glaze over the still warm dough. Let it cool. The next day, cut into 5×3 cm cubes.
- 5In a food processor, cream all ingredients until foamy. Pour the glaze over the warm baked dough.
- 6Use a mix of walnuts and hazelnuts. Use more walnuts, as they have a more pronounced flavor.
