INGREDIENTS FOR HOT DOG

  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 4 quality sausages (meat or vegan)
  • 1 jalapeño
  • 3 stalks of spring onion
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Fried onion
  • 100 g pâté

INGREDIENTS FOR SAUCE

  • 200 g mayonnaise (homemade or store-bought)
  • 4 tablespoons sriracha

INGREDIENTS FOR SALAD

  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce (Vegans omit)
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 ½ cucumber
  • 5 radishes

METHOD

    Mix mayonnaise with sriracha and set aside.

    Cut the vegetables into thin julienne slices – carrots, cucumber (remove the soft core) and radishes – you'll find a great tip below. In a bowl, mix the vegetables with salt, vinegar, sugar, and a dash of fish sauce (omit for the vegan version). Let it rest for a while for the flavors to meld.

    Heat the grill and toast the hot dog buns on it, while also grilling the sausages until nicely browned.

    Spread each bun with pâté (vegans omit) and the prepared mayonnaise. On one side, place a grilled sausage, on the other side, add the vegetable salad. Sprinkle with chopped jalapeño pepper, fresh cilantro, spring onion, peanuts, fried onion, and finally drizzle with more mayonnaise.
