  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 whole wheat tortillas (⌀ approx. 22 cm)
  • 150 g turkey ham
  • 3 handfuls fresh baby spinach (approx. 40 g)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

    First, prepare the filling: Take a medium-sized bowl and mix the cream cheese with lemon juice. Peel and crush the garlic, add it to the bowl, and mix. Season the resulting mixture with salt and pepper.

    Now place the tortillas on a work surface. Spread ⅓ of the prepared cream cheese filling evenly over the entire surface of each tortilla. Place ⅓ of the ham in the middle of each tortilla so that it doesn't overlap and covers as much area as possible. Repeat the same with the spinach. Make sure that on one side of the tortilla, 1–2 cm of free space remains without ham and spinach, where there will only be the cream cheese mixture, so that the tortilla holds together after rolling.

    Now roll each tortilla towards the empty space. If the tortilla still doesn't hold, use a toothpick to secure it.

    Cut each rolled tortilla into 6 equally sized pieces – this will make a total of 18 pieces – and then serve immediately.

    You can also add other thinly sliced vegetables to the tortilla – red bell pepper or perhaps cucumber and carrot.
