    Once the mixture begins to gently bubble, reduce the heat to a lower medium flame. Continue stirring for another 15–20 minutes until the mixture thickens. You can check the consistency periodically – after cooling, it should have the consistency of classic salko.

    Pour the finished mixture into a clean glass jar or container and let it cool completely. The salko will thicken slightly more as it cools.
