INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
  • 1 espresso (30–50 ml)
  • 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup (to taste)
  • Whipped cream for garnish (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon for sprinkling (optional)

    Prepare espresso – either using a coffee machine, moka pot, or use strong coffee.

    Heat the milk – pour milk into a small saucepan and heat it over medium heat. Alternatively, you can heat the milk in a microwave oven.

    Froth the milk – if you have a milk frother, use it to create foam. If not, you can use a hand whisk or a sealed container in which you vigorously shake the milk.

    Pour maple syrup into a mug and add the prepared espresso. Stir well to dissolve the syrup.

    Pour the frothed milk into the mug with espresso and maple syrup. Leave some foam on top.

    Garnish the drink with whipped cream and lightly sprinkle with ground cinnamon, if you like a subtle spicy taste.
