INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
- 1 espresso (30–50 ml)
- 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup (to taste)
- Whipped cream for garnish (optional)
- Ground cinnamon for sprinkling (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Prepare espresso – either using a coffee machine, moka pot, or use strong coffee.
- 2Heat the milk – pour milk into a small saucepan and heat it over medium heat. Alternatively, you can heat the milk in a microwave oven.
- 3Froth the milk – if you have a milk frother, use it to create foam. If not, you can use a hand whisk or a sealed container in which you vigorously shake the milk.
- 4Pour maple syrup into a mug and add the prepared espresso. Stir well to dissolve the syrup.
- 5Pour the frothed milk into the mug with espresso and maple syrup. Leave some foam on top.
- 6Garnish the drink with whipped cream and lightly sprinkle with ground cinnamon, if you like a subtle spicy taste.
