INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1
Preheat the oven to 180 °C and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2
In a large bowl, cream together the butter with both sugars until a smooth and fluffy mixture forms. This takes about 3-5 minutes.
  • 3
Add the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition.
  • 4
Then mix in the vanilla extract or dried vanilla bean.
  • 5
In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • 6
Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture until the dough comes together.
  • 7
Finally, fold the chocolate chips into the dough.
  • 8
Form walnut-sized balls from the dough and place them on the baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 9
Leave enough space between them, as they will spread during baking.
  • 10
Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are golden brown but the center is still slightly soft.
  • 11
Let them cool on the baking sheet for a while to firm up, then transfer them to a wire rack. Sprinkle with dried strawberries.
