INGREDIENTS
- 230 g butter
- 200 g cane brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or dried vanilla bean
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder 0
- 1 pinch of salt
- 200 g dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate 0
- Freeze-dried fruit for sprinkling (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Preheat the oven to 180 °C and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2In a large bowl, cream together the butter with both sugars until a smooth and fluffy mixture forms. This takes about 3-5 minutes.
- 3Add the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition.
- 4Then mix in the vanilla extract or dried vanilla bean.
- 5In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- 6Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture until the dough comes together.
- 7Finally, fold the chocolate chips into the dough.
- 8Form walnut-sized balls from the dough and place them on the baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 9Leave enough space between them, as they will spread during baking.
- 10Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are golden brown but the center is still slightly soft.
- 11Let them cool on the baking sheet for a while to firm up, then transfer them to a wire rack. Sprinkle with dried strawberries.
