INGREDIENTS

  • 230 g fine curd cheese
  • 60 g coarse flour
  • 50 g oat flakes
  • 1 egg
  • 6-8 pcs apricots (depending on their size)
  • Pinch of salt

  • Curd cheese for grating or lumpy curd cheese
  • Butter
  • Powdered sugar

METHOD

    Prepare the dough from fine curd cheese, egg, flour, oat flakes, and salt. Mix the ingredients in a bowl or on a pastry board, cover, and let rest for 15 minutes.

    Wash the apricots, halve them, and remove the pit.

    Divide the dough into 6 or 8 equal parts. From each part, make a flat disc and wrap it around an apricot. Firmly press the dough seams together so they don't open during cooking. While shaping the dumplings, you can lightly dust the pastry board and your hands with flour to prevent the dough from sticking.

    Pour water into a wide pot so that the water level is at least 10 cm from the bottom. Bring to a boil. Once the water starts boiling, reduce the heat by half, add the dumplings, and cook for 7-10 minutes. Once cooked, carefully remove them from the water and let them drain.

    Serve sprinkled with curd cheese, powdered sugar to taste, and drizzled with melted butter.
