INGREDIENTS
- dough for 1 pizza
- 1 large tomato
- 180 g canned crushed tomatoes
- 130 g Mozzarella di Bufala
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 10 basil leaves
- 2 pinches of salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Score the top of the tomato with a small knife in a cross shape, just cutting through the skin, and immerse it in boiling water for 20 seconds. Immediately transfer it to a bowl of ice water and let it cool for 1 minute. Then peel it and slice it into 0.5 cm thick rounds.
- 2Slice the mozzarella. Blend or strain the canned tomatoes and mix with salt and olive oil.
- 3Spread the prepared, stretched dough for 1 pizza with the tomato mixture, evenly arrange the tomato slices, and bake on a fully preheated baking sheet or pizza stone in an oven preheated to maximum for 3 minutes.
- 4Remove the pizza from the oven, arrange the sliced mozzarella on top, return to the oven, and bake for another 1 minute until the mozzarella just softens but doesn't melt completely.
- 5Remove the finished pizza from the oven and arrange basil leaves on top.
