INGREDIENTS

  • 210 g all-purpose flour
  • 210 g powdered sugar
  • 180 g pork lard
  • 50 g finely ground walnuts
  • 10 g cocoa
  • tart jam (sour cherry, redcurrant, raspberry, etc.)

    Process all ingredients into a smooth dough, then chill it in the refrigerator for at least two hours (or even overnight).

    Roll the dough into a thin log and cut it into even slices, from which you can shape balls about 2 cm in diameter. Place the balls at slight intervals on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make a deep indentation in each ball with the narrow end of a small wooden spoon. Chill in the refrigerator for an hour.

    If the jam is not completely smooth and contains seeds, strain it through a sieve.

    Put the jam into a piping bag with a thin nozzle or a parchment paper cone and fill the indentations. The second option is to fill the cookies with jam after baking.

    Bake for approximately 10 minutes in an oven preheated to 155°C to prevent the cookies from cracking. Let cool on a wire rack.
