Ingredients

  • 4 slices of toast bread
  • 300 ml milk
  • 50 g butter
  • 10 g vanilla sugar
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

    In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and sugar.

    Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.

    Dip the slices of toast bread in the egg mixture until the bread is completely soaked. Fry in butter in a pan over very low heat until golden brown on both sides.

    After frying, sprinkle the toast with powdered sugar and garnish with fruit and a fresh mint leaf to taste.

    Fresh fruit is ideal for garnish. You can also combine 2 slices of toast bread with a thicker layer of jam and dip them together in the egg mixture. This way you get a kind of sweet sandwich. You can drizzle the finished toast with maple syrup.
