Ingredients
- 4 slices of toast bread
- 300 ml milk
- 50 g butter
- 10 g vanilla sugar
- 2 pcs eggs
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of nutmeg
- powdered sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
- 1In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and sugar.
- 2Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
- 3Dip the slices of toast bread in the egg mixture until the bread is completely soaked. Fry in butter in a pan over very low heat until golden brown on both sides.
- 4After frying, sprinkle the toast with powdered sugar and garnish with fruit and a fresh mint leaf to taste.
- 5Fresh fruit is ideal for garnish. You can also combine 2 slices of toast bread with a thicker layer of jam and dip them together in the egg mixture. This way you get a kind of sweet sandwich. You can drizzle the finished toast with maple syrup.
