DISH AND SAUCE
- 500 g spaghetti
- 1/2 spinach puree
- 1 package sliced cheese
- 2 pieces bell pepper
- 4 black olives
- 12 green olives
- Salt and salt for seasoning
TOMATO SAUCE
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tomato paste
- 800 g crushed tomatoes
- 1 package mozzarella
- Pepper for seasoning
OTHER PASTA COLORS
- A handful of crushed blueberries will ensure a beautiful blue-purple color
- 1 tablespoon turmeric will color the pasta yellow
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon for orange-brown pasta
- 4 tablespoons pickled beetroot will color the pasta red
PROCEDURE
- 1Place about half of the spinach puree into a large pasta pot. If it's frozen, it doesn't matter, it will soften in boiling water. Pour water over the spinach so that the spaghetti can easily fit into the pot (there should be at least 5 cm of space from the rim of the pot). Salt the water and bring it to a boil.
- 2Add the spaghetti to the boiling water with spinach puree and cook according to the time indicated on the package.
- 3After cooking, drain the spaghetti. If you mind the remnants of spinach puree on the pasta, you can rinse them to remove the puree.
- 4From the sliced cheese, cut out 8 circles and 8 smaller triangles using a knife or a cookie cutter, which will represent the monster's teeth. From the bell peppers, cut out 8 slightly smaller circles, and halve both black and green olives.
- 5For the final serving, be inspired by the picture. Serve a portion of pasta and layer the prepared tomato sauce on top to form a circle, exactly as shown in the picture. On top of the sauce, place two cheese circles side by side, then place bell pepper circles on them, and one half of a black olive on each bell pepper circle. Arrange halves of green olives side by side to form a mouth, and place cheese triangles underneath them to represent teeth.
TOMATO SAUCE PROCEDURE
- 1Finely chop the onion and sauté it in olive oil. As soon as the onion becomes translucent, add crushed or finely chopped garlic. Stir everything together.
- 2Add tomato paste and sauté the mixture over medium heat for about a minute.
- 3Then add crushed tomatoes to the mixture, stir, and let it simmer together for at least 5 minutes.
- 4Season with salt and pepper, and finally add grated mozzarella to the sauce.
TIP
- 1Pasta doesn't have to be just green; nature offers many other magical colors that are truly pleasing to the eye. For red spaghetti, add several tablespoons of pickled beetroot to the water instead of spinach. Ground turmeric best colors yellow pasta. You can achieve a beautiful blue-purple color by adding a handful of crushed blueberries to the boiling water. Orange-brown pasta can be achieved by adding cinnamon.
