Ingredients
- 650 g turkey thighs
- 1 onion
- Rice
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4 cloves garlic
- Tortilla
- 4 peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
- 4 allspice berries
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 carrot
- 60 g tomato paste
- 1 parsley root
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon cane sugar
- 1 chili pepper
Instructions
- 1Clean the carrots and parsley and cut them into cubes. Place the turkey thigh into the slow cooker, pour in 1 liter of water. Add the vegetables, spices, and salt. Cook on the first setting for approximately 4 hours.
- 2Once the meat falls off the bone, it's done. Remove it from the broth, discard bones and tough tendons. Shred the meat using two forks. Save the broth; it will be added to the sauce.
- 3Finely chop the onion, slice the garlic. Heat oil in a saucepan and fry the onion with garlic, add smoked paprika and tomato paste. Sauté for a minute and pour in 1.5 deciliters of broth from the cooked turkey thigh. Season with Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and sugar.
- 4Serve with cooked rice. It is also suitable for buns or tortillas.
