  • 650 g turkey thighs
  • 1 onion
  • Rice
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • Tortilla
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • 4 allspice berries
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 carrot
  • 60 g tomato paste
  • 1 parsley root
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon cane sugar
  • 1 chili pepper

Instructions

  • 1
Clean the carrots and parsley and cut them into cubes. Place the turkey thigh into the slow cooker, pour in 1 liter of water. Add the vegetables, spices, and salt. Cook on the first setting for approximately 4 hours.

Once the meat falls off the bone, it's done. Remove it from the broth, discard bones and tough tendons. Shred the meat using two forks. Save the broth; it will be added to the sauce.

Finely chop the onion, slice the garlic. Heat oil in a saucepan and fry the onion with garlic, add smoked paprika and tomato paste. Sauté for a minute and pour in 1.5 deciliters of broth from the cooked turkey thigh. Season with Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and sugar.
  • 4
Serve with cooked rice. It is also suitable for buns or tortillas.
