Preparation method

1

Good burgers only need quality beef, salt, and pepper, which is why we use pre-mixed meat directly from the butcher.

2

Burgers should be slightly larger than the bun; flatten the meat a little in the middle, as it tends to bulge slightly when grilling, and this way it will remain nicely flat. Place room-temperature meat on a well-heated grill brushed with a little oil. For medium doneness, grill the meat for 3 minutes on each side, but this depends on its thickness and your preference. Shortly after flipping, place a slice of cheese on the meat to melt. Don't forget to lightly toast the cut bun on the grill as well.

3

Then spread the bun with mayonnaise, ketchup, or a combination of both, add the grilled burger patty and other ingredients to taste, such as tomato slices, onion, and lettuce. Cover with the top bun, optionally cut in half, and serve immediately.

Chef's tip

Do not place lettuce under the meat, as it will wilt quickly. Crispy bacon slices are also excellent in a burger. However, grill them separately on a grilling tray or in a pan to prevent them from falling through the grill grates (personally tested).
