Preparation method
Preheat the oven to 170 °C.
Mix all ingredients and knead into a smooth dough, wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
On a floured work surface, roll out the dough into a 3 mm thick sheet. Cut out desired shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 12 minutes.
Chef's tip
Every oven bakes differently, so keep an eye on the Linecké dough. It should be baked until light golden, meaning it should only lightly brown. From the dough, you can cut out shapes such as circles, half of them solid, half with a cut-out center. Then, sandwich the circles together with jam, traditionally redcurrant jam. A more tart jam is suitable for sandwiching, as the dough itself is sweet. You can dust the finished pastries with powdered sugar. For preparation, you will need cookie cutters of various shapes, baking paper, and cling film.
