Preparation method
Pour the rice into a colander and rinse 4–5 times under running water until the water running from the colander is almost clear. Then take a medium-sized pot, heat 1.5 tablespoons of olive oil in it over medium heat, add the rinsed rice and stir to coat the rice in the oil. Next, salt the rice, pour in 300 ml of water, and bring the contents of the pot to a boil over high heat. Then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let the rice simmer for 18–20 minutes.
After the specified time, remove the pot from the heat and let the rice rest for 5–10 minutes, covered.
Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and serve.
