INGREDIENTS
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 250 ml lukewarm water
- 80 ml oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon marjoram
- 1 teaspoon dried garlic
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives
- Half a block of yeast (21 grams)
- 100 g streaky bacon
- 2 mozzarellas
- 1 egg
- Something for sprinkling (poppy seeds, caraway, sesame)

INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Mix flour, water, oil, yeast, salt, mozzarella, bacon, marjoram, garlic, chives, and knead by hand or put in a food processor.
- 2Divide the dough into 10 portions.
- 3Shape each portion by hand into a bun.
- 4Arrange the buns on a baking tray.
- 5Whisk one egg with a pinch of salt.
- 6Brush the buns with egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds or something you like.
- 7Bake in the oven for approx. 25 minutes at 180° C.

Savory buns are great with any spread, cream cheese, or pâté.
