Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Peel and roughly chop the onion. Clean the bell pepper and cut it into strips. Slice the garlic. Halve the chicken thighs, season with salt and pepper.

Heat olive oil in a pan, add the halved thighs and sear them over medium heat for 2–3 minutes on each side. Then remove the thighs from the pan to a plate and set aside.
Chef's tip
*Pasta rice, or orzo, are small pasta made from semolina – so it is not actual rice, although orzo resembles rice in appearance and has similar uses in the kitchen; you can use it as a classic side dish, but also for preparing risottos or pasta salads.
