Ingredients

  • 150 ml semi-fat milk
  • 150 g semi-fat quark
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 50 g blueberry jam
  • 200 g sourdough bread
  • 50 g fresh blueberries
  • 15 g butter
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • 1
Take a deep plate, put milk, eggs, and ground cinnamon into it, and whisk them with a fork. Cut the bread slices in the middle with a knife to create a pocket that you will then fill with quark. Be careful not to cut through the entire slice. Soak the cut bread in the egg mixture and let it absorb for 2–3 minutes on each side.

Meanwhile, prepare the filling: Get a bowl, put semi-fat quark, cream cheese, blueberry jam, fresh blueberries, lemon zest, and lemon juice into it, and mix everything.
  • 3
Fill the soaked bread with the quark filling.* Then, take a pan, put butter in it, and heat it over a low to medium flame. Once the pan is hot and the butter has melted, place the filled bread on it and fry it over a low to medium flame for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Then remove the bread from the heat and serve immediately. * If you have any filling left over, spread it on top of the individual toasts after frying.

Drizzle the toasts with honey before serving.
