INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
  • 1 espresso (approx. 30–50 ml)
  • 1–2 tablespoons caramel syrup + for garnish
  • Whipped cream for garnish (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

    Prepare espresso – either using a coffee machine or stronger coffee from a moka pot.

    Heat the milk; you can warm it in a pot over medium heat or in the microwave, but don't let it boil.

    Froth the milk; if you have a handheld frother or a milk nozzle, create foam. The milk should be gently frothed.

    Pour caramel syrup into a mug and add freshly prepared espresso.

    Pour the frothed milk into the mug with espresso and caramel. You can either pour it over a spoon to keep the foam on top, or just pour it directly.

    Garnish with whipped cream and a little caramel syrup to taste.
