INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
- 1 espresso (approx. 30–50 ml)
- 1–2 tablespoons caramel syrup + for garnish
- Whipped cream for garnish (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Prepare espresso – either using a coffee machine or stronger coffee from a moka pot.
- 2Heat the milk; you can warm it in a pot over medium heat or in the microwave, but don't let it boil.
- 3Froth the milk; if you have a handheld frother or a milk nozzle, create foam. The milk should be gently frothed.
- 4Pour caramel syrup into a mug and add freshly prepared espresso.
- 5Pour the frothed milk into the mug with espresso and caramel. You can either pour it over a spoon to keep the foam on top, or just pour it directly.
- 6Garnish with whipped cream and a little caramel syrup to taste.
