Ingredients

  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 120 g of milk
  • 150 g of onion
  • 55 g of butter
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 large carrots
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 600 g of lamb meat
  • 230 ml of chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • Handful of fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • 140 g of frozen peas

    Peel the potatoes and put them to boil.

    After the potatoes are cooked, drain the water and add 120 g of milk, 55 g of butter, salt, and pepper. Blend everything thoroughly into a creamy mashed potato.

    Dice the onion, carrot, and celery into small pieces. Cut the lamb into larger pieces. Heat olive oil in a pan and add the meat. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Add the chopped vegetables and crushed garlic to the meat and mix.

    Add 40 g of tomato paste and 230 ml of chicken broth. Mix and let the mixture cook. After 5 minutes, add frozen peas, salt, pepper, thyme, and cook until the meat is tender.

    Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish and layer the mashed potatoes on top. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. After baking, sprinkle the dish with fresh rosemary and serve.
