Place whole oranges in a mug and pour boiling water over them 3 times in a row to remove impurities and enhance their aroma.
Bring the finely grated zest and juice from both oranges and golden syrup or sugar to a boil, then reduce slightly over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from the stove. Stir the remaining ingredients into the syrup, pour the mixture into an airtight container, and let it cool in the refrigerator overnight.
The next day, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker. Proceed according to its instructions. Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container and place it in the freezer.
